Abstraction of Being.

Abstraction of Being.

This series represents the abstraction of the human form, to the point of near ambiguity. I began with strict representation, but soon after started straying from realistic contours, using fractals and distortions to portray not physical presence, but essence. As the series progressed, I began exploring interior space within the body. This fascinated me beyond anything, bringing me to my final drawing, and self portrait (middle four panels). It became not about the presence of being at all, but the emotion you feel when creating a space.
